I interview Marc Smith on visualising social networks on Twitter is NodeXL
Marc is one of the worlds leading sociologists on the subject for network graphs of people.
Marc and his team have created the most fantastic platform NodeXL used within the social media research foundation for people to utilise the Twitter social graph. They can use it to find the top influencers for given Hashtags. Node XL also all allows you to visualise the social network of these hashtags giving you the change to see what kind of structure the network has.
This episode is truly rich with many advanced topics that could easily make it into a tech podcast, but I wanted to expose the concepts to my listeners here so they can take advantage of them.
